I know numbers aren't everything, but they're nice. Very nice.
One of my goals on my list of 101 Things in 1001 Days was to reach 100 blog followers. Although some people like to add up their followers from facebook (13), twitter (585), instagram (68), bloglovin (56), Google+ (15), and GFC (101) and spout out some really big number, the truth is those categories overlap.
So I couldn't just take my followers from bloglovin and my followers on GFC and celebrate when I reached 100 total. It wouldn't actually be 100 people.
But I recently hit 100 followers via GFC, and I wanted to celebrate! I even received an email from my 100th follower, Paulina at Color Me Brave.

My next goal is to reach 30 likes on facebook so I can access my statistics. So... like me on facebook?
Congrats, that's a great blogging milestone! Good luck with your fb page, I'm already one of the 13 likes :)
ReplyDeleteI noticed! I appreciate your support. :)
DeleteCongratulations!! :) Numbers are important, and exciting! Be proud(:
ReplyDeleteThank you! I'm very proud. :)
DeleteYay! Congratulations! I was well chuffed when I hit 100 too! xx
ReplyDeleteYou're SO British. ;)
DeleteI don't have a FB and I don't follow you on google. But I read your blog. :) Just sayin!
ReplyDeleteI love all of my followers, especially the ones who comment! I honestly only signed up for facebook because I was paying for pretty social media buttons, and I figured I should get a facebook button if I was spending the money. And what's the point of a facebook button if I didn't actually link it to facebook? Also, I had noticed a bump in facebook traffic, and I was hoping to offer a share option so I have an idea of who is sharing my posts on facebook. Still haven't figured that out yet, but I'm not complaining!
DeleteCongrats!! It's so fun to hit milestones!!
ReplyDeletea) CONGRATULATIONS! this is very exciting :)
ReplyDeleteb) they totally overlap. I got so angry about this when everyone was switching from GFC to Bloglovin'. sorry, I have all the thoughts on this that spill into all the thoughts about blogging that aren't concrete enough to write down, but: yargh.
