Meet Belle Femme

Welcome to Finding My Virginity, formerly known as Confessions of a Virgin. My nom de plume is Belle Vierge Femme (beautiful virgin wife en français), but you can call me Belle.

In a nutshell, I'm a feminist, Christian, southern, francophile, bilingual, bisexual, bibliophile, nerdy, petite, libertarian, big-boobed, former virgin sorority alumna in love with her husband, who goes by Beau Vierge Mari.

I write about virginity and sex; religion and feminism; books and boobs. My blog isn't just about not having coitus before marriage. It's a melange of humor and anger, personal reflection and societal criticism, all written with passion and the desire to influence others with my experiences.

Some folks over at twitter have a problem with anonymous accounts. But if you were blogging about the status of your premarital virginity, and all your past hook ups (kissing ones, that is), and your crazy drunken shenanigans, and your controversial thoughts on religion, and the physical intimacy you enjoy with your husband, would you tell the whole world your identity?

Yeah, I didn't think so.

That, and my family doesn't know I'm bisexual, nor do most of my friends.

I can't promise to update daily, or post pretty pictures all the time. I doubt I'll ever host a giveaway, and I'm probably not going to be the most fashionable writer.

But I promise always to be genuine, authentic, honest, ME.

Because what's the point of being anonymous...
if I can't be myself?

I'm a total princess. I just don't need rescuing.

    1. Thank you! I love new followers. :) Your 1950s housewife idea is definitely different. It reminds me of Rachel Held Evans' book "A Year of Biblical Womanhood."

    1. Thank you! They're sadly not waterproof or super-warm, but they're PERFECT for the spring/autumn. Now that I live somewhere that's cold from September to May...

  4. Brava! Stopping over from the Fresh Face Friday hop (geez that's a long name). Good for you for keeping the anonymity. I really wish I had an anonymous blog or twitter account sometimes, the freedom to say what you really want must feel amazing!

    1. Sorry for the late reply! Being anonymous limits my audience, but I love the freedom to be completely honest. I definitely talk about stuff that I can't tell my family or some of my friends.

Thanks for reading and commenting!

Anonymous commenting disabled while my mom is sick.
